Control PC to PC without software - LAN

With the help of Team Viewer, you can easily control one computer from another computer through the Internet. Both computers should have internet connection. This post discusses step by step how to control another computer from your computer without software.

Materials Required:

1. Computer.

2. LAN cable.

Step-1: First connect both computers via LAN.

Step-2: Then go to run (Win+r) and type ncpa.cpl and click ok.

Step-3: From there click right mouse button on Local Area Connection or Ethernet and go to properties.

Step-4: Then double click on internet protocol version 4(TCP/ipv4). Now a window will appear there click on use the following ip.

Now do the following on your computer:

  ip-address : 192.168.1.1

subnet-mask: 225.255.255.0

On the computer connected to your computer, do the following:

  ip-address : 192.168.1.2

subnet-mask: 225.255.255.0

Then exit with ok.

How to understand whether the computer is connected to the LAN?

Open Command Prompt

And type ping 192.168.1.2 -t and press Enter

If the text "Riply From 192.168.1.2 : bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64" comes, it should be understood that two computers are connected to the LAN.

  Step-5: Right click on My Computer and go to Properties.

  Step-6 : Then when you click on Change Settings, you will see that a window like below will appear, click on the Remote tab there.

  Then tick Allow Remote Assistance Connections to the Computer and click apply.

  Repeat step 4 to step 5 on the computer you want to control.

Step-7: Now go to run (Win+r) and type mstsc and click ok.

Step-8: Then enter the name of the computer you want to control or the ip-address of that computer and click on connect.

You will see that a window will appear where the desktop of the computer you have given the name of the computer will be seen. Now you can control that computer as you wish.

B:

As soon as you click on connect, the computer name you entered will be logged off.
